Ramster Garden in Chiddingfold will be transformed with an array of stunning sculptures this spring by the Surrey Sculpture Society from 3rd May to 2nd June 2024. The Surrey Sculpture Exhibition will be staged within the enchanting woodland garden, making it an unforgettable experience.
This event is a unique opportunity to discover a world of wonder and imagination through sculpture whilst exploring the renowned 25-acre Ramster Garden, home to a spectacular collection of rhododendrons and azaleas. Feast on a fantastic show of colour, unusual and rare plantings blended with some of the finest artist talent.
Around 100 sculptures created by professional and emerging sculptors will be exhibited and available for purchase. The pieces range from modern abstract to classical styles created from various materials, including ceramics, metal, glass, stone, wood, and bronze.
Rosie Glaister of Ramster Garden is thrilled to host the sculpture trail for the fourth consecutive year.
"The sculptures will be strategically placed along the woodland paths, creating an exciting and surprising experience for visitors at each twist and turn. Ramster Garden is renowned for its magical setting; therefore, the pieces of artwork fit wonderfully within the landscape."
Gill Lawson, the SSS Exhibition Manager for Ramster Garden 2024, commented:
“We are delighted to have been invited to exhibit at Ramster Gardens again this spring. It is such a lovely, accessible and inclusive garden, allowing us to show the wide variety of our members' sculptures off in all their glory! Exhibitors and visitors are always impressed at how well the gardens and sculptures complement each other. The timing is perfect with the flowering of the azaleas, rhododendrons and other spring flowers.”
Visitors can purchase sculptures during the exhibition or by contacting Surrey Sculpture on 07895 376123 or www.surreysculpture.org.uk.
